ResponsibilitiesA Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Embedded Software Engineers in Chandler, Arizona (AZ). Summary: We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. This company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and profit sharing. This position is partial remote with the schedule, 3 days from home and 2 days in the office. Responsibilities include: Maintaining and implementing BSPs, bootloaders, drivers for the SOC and other PowerPC based processor cards Providing guidance to less senior software engineers Senior Embedded Software Engineers will code and design software Create kernel, bootloader, and DKM projects with Wind River Workbench using VxWorks 6.9 and VxWorks 7.0 Debug multitasking embedded software using the Wind River ICE 2 Work with external customers and internal team members to solve complex software and system issues Perform revision control Senior Embedded Software Engineers will create VDDs and software releases Create or update manual board bring up procedures and software build proceduresRequirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or similar field; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Physics 8-10+ years of experience in embedded software engineering Strong development experience using C or C++ programming languages In-depth knowledge of Wind River Workbench and VxWorks 6.x and 7.x or other RTOS A strong base of software programming knowledge Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationNice To Haves But Not Required Experience with assembly language, LabVIEW, Perl, and Python Extensive experience in Linux, Windows, VxWorks 6.x or 7.x, and/or other RTOS Strong understanding of RS232, RS422, TCP/IP, PCI, DMA, MMU, Flash, EEPROM, FPGA memory mapped register access, and exception vectors Familiarity with schematic and basic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, etc. Familiar with orbit mechanics and avionics, sensors, and actuators Familiar with Guidance, Navigation, and ControlsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
